Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity

Dr. Abdelaziz Nour Oshar, Director-General of the Center, received Dr. Hamad Al-Merri, President of Malaz Training Center and member of the Afro-Asian Council for Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, at the Center’s branch office in Cairo.

During the meeting, Dr. Oshar provided a comprehensive briefing on the Center’s activities and areas of focus, noting that the Center pays special attention to issues concerning Sudan and its regional environment, in addition to global developments that directly affect the Arab and African regions.

For his part, Dr. Al-Merri reviewed the ongoing preparations for the Second International Conference on Artificial Intelligence, scheduled to be held in Turkey this May under the theme: “Innovative Solutions for Governance and Sustainability of Organizations.”

Dr. Al-Merri expressed his hope that the Global Center for Political and Strategic Studies would participate in this year’s edition of the conference, especially after its distinguished participation in the previous session through a research paper on the role of artificial intelligence in preventing health disasters.

He also praised the Center’s efforts amid the current circumstances in Sudan and the region, which require solid research to support decision-makers. Dr. Al-Merri further affirmed his readiness to cooperate with the Center in the fields of training and capacity building.
