The International Center for Political and Strategic Studies (ICPSS) and the National Human Rights Commission signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Port Sudan with the aim of cooperation in several fields to promote and protect human rights. The memorandum was signed on behalf of the Center by its Director, Dr. Abdul Aziz Nour Ashr, while it was signed on behalf of the Commission by Mr. Juma Al-Wakeel Al-Ayeser.

The signing received wide attention and strong approval in media circles, reflecting the high level of trust generally placed in research centers by journalists. There are high expectations that the memorandum will lead to a significant improvement in the human rights situation in the country, as this constitutes a core objective of the Center since its establishment.
